About the Job
The Financial Controller has the next tasks:

  • Financial Reporting below IFRS – month-to-month, Quarterly and annual
  • Tax operations and compliance
  • Enterprise and Airtel Money operations and compliance
  • Finance operations for Nigeria.

Must have:

  • Prepare or direct preparation and guarantee accuracy of month-to-month & Quarterly monetary statements (Income assertion, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows) per IFRS for the Nigerian entities
  • Ensure compliance as per IFRS Accounting Standards, pointers of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (‘FRC’) and relevant native laws.
  • Develop and implement inside management insurance policies, pointers, and procedures for all monetary reporting associated actions
  • Provide path and help to different organizational models relating to accounting insurance policies and procedures, and environment friendly management and utilization of monetary sources.
  • Supervise and overview the administration of all actions associated to monetary accounting reminiscent of: invoicing; refunds; buying; payroll; assortment of accounts receivable; administration and fee of suppliers; administration and fee of contracts; help within the ongoing monitoring and administration of banking relationships, money movement evaluation and the administration of brief and long run money owed; performing financial institution and different key reconciliations

Tax Compliance:

  • Tax planning and compliance in line all related tax legislations and procedures as decided by the Federal Inland Revenue Services (‘FIRS’) Nigeria, decision of all tax points ensuing from tax audits. Proactive evaluation and administration of the Company’s tax liabilities together with all federal and state taxes.

Internal & Statutory Audits:

  • Coordinate audits of firm accounts and monetary transactions to make sure compliance with Group accounting insurance policies, related accounting requirements and different legislations.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide management to all the finance employees by way of Inspiring and motivating others to carry out properly, Delegating work assignments that matches the duty to the particular person and Setting expectations and monitoring delegated actions

Financial Systems:

Educational Level:
Must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business associated discipline
  • Professional Qualification; ACA, ACCA
  • Masters in Business Administration.

Working Experience:
Must have:

  • Minimum expertise of 18 years or extra
  • Telecom and/or Banking expertise
  • At least 10 years associated expertise at senior administration ranges – Financial Controller or Head Financial Reporting of a giant endeavor with revenues in extra of 1billion USD
  • Has managed a big group of certified sources, with a working data of Oracle or different ERP and palms on / wonderful Excel expertise.
